Earlier this month, one of the hospitals I work at invited its Facebook fans to share a photo of their Elf on the Shelf doing something healthy. During the first two weeks of the contest, entries were minimal. So my colleagues asked me to help with some of the promotions to see if we could encourage additional entries to the contest. Hello open door to creativity. 🙂
I swing across the street to Barnes & Noble and purchased my first-ever Elf on the Shelf kit (book and creepy elf included). I spent about an hour going through various spots in the hospital to set up and capture the elf doing healthy things – like drinking water instead of soda, taking the stairs instead of the elevator, and playing a little indoor football. I thought I would share the photos for today’s blog post, since the Elf on the Shelf will be returning to the North Pole this week, and won’t return till late 2014.
Left to right, top to bottom – Eating fruits for a mid-day snack; getting 10,00 steps each day, taking the stairs instead of the elevator, playing some indoor football, drinking water instead of soda, and getting a good night sleep (which can be tough to do on Christmas Eve).
