A little depth of field can help highlight a subject in a photo. I had a little fun bunching a package of colored pencils together and attacking them from the best angle to make it interesting. Then I used a lower aperture (f/2.8) to help put the focus on one of the colored pencils.

My ultimate plan with the colored pencils involves my new 10-gallon aquarium and some alka seltzer, so stay tuned.

I am diggin’ that! Just bought myself the 64 pack of crayons and was photographing them.
Thanks. It’s kinda fun – good luck with your crayons. 🙂
