Before arriving in Page, Arizona, to meet up with the Utah Photo Workshop group, I stopped by Wal-Mart and grabbed a Lone Ranger Lego set, since the red rock and sandy desert of Arizona seemed to be the perfect setting for these characters.
When the group headed out to Horseshoe Bend for sunset, we had about an hour or two before the sun set, so I invested some camera time on things other than the iconic Colorado River landmark. I whipped out the Lone Ranger and his trusty horse, Silver, and set up the shot. I will admit that I have never seen the movie, but this setup seemed to be one of the iconic images from the movie.
And this post wouldn’t be complete without including his infamous one-liner… “Hi-Yo, Silver! Away!”
