It may not be the Fourth of July. There may not be fireworks lighting up the night sky. And there may not be a hot dogs and root beer. But today is Patriot Day and I wanted to share this photo to honor those who lost their lives on September 11 and those that have served and now serve our nation to allow us to have the freedoms we enjoy. Toward this purpose I share this photo of the Red, White and Blue.

I remember September 11 and the images that were shown again and again on network television. In 2004 I was honored to travel to New York City and I spent a few moments at the site of ground zero. I shared a photo I captured of some beams that formed a cross, which were displayed to recognize all those who lost their lives. Check out that photo and blog post. Again, thank you to all who serve, and their family members who support them. God bless.
